What we offer....
Are you a carer?
You may not always recognise yourself as one, but if you regularly support a family member, friend, or loved one facing illness, disability, age-related issues, or mental health challenges, you are indeed a caregiver. While being a caregiver can be incredibly fulfilling, it can also be emotionally and physically draining. You invest so much of yourself, but who is there to support you?
Carers Counselling is here to offer the understanding and assistance you deserve. Our service is tailored specifically for caregivers like you—those who dedicate their time, energy, and love to the well-being of others. We recognise that caring for someone presents unique challenges, which is why our counsellors are available to listen, support, and help you navigate the complexities of your caregiving role.
Whether you are facing stress, burnout, feelings of isolation, or simply need a safe space to talk, Carers Counselling is here to help. Through our service, you can apply for up to 18 sessions of free counselling or CBT, and you will also have the opportunity to join our free weekly support group. This service is available to all carers residing in the London Borough of Bexley.

Why yoga is great for your wellbeing:
-
Yoga is more than just stretching – it’s a gentle, whole-body practice that supports both physical and mental health.
-
Reduces stress and anxiety by calming the nervous system.
-
Boosts mood and helps regulate emotions.
-
Improves focus and mental clarity.
-
Increases flexibility, balance, and body strength.

For carers, yoga offers a valuable pause – a moment to breathe, recharge, and leave feeling calmer, stronger, and more in control.

Weekly Carers Group
Our weekly Carers group was created to provide a space for those who are caring for someone, whether that is a parent, partner, child, or friend.
We meet every Thursday at Geddes Place URC Bexleyheath DA6 7DJ between 10.30 am and 12 pm, there is limited Free Parking on site.
The group provides a supportive and inclusive space where carers can come together, take a breath, and be.
Where you can share your own experiences and feelings, such as exhaustion, isolation, and feeling overwhelmed.
The Group Offers:
-
Confidentiality: What’s shared in the group stays in the group. Your experiences, emotions, and stories are treated with the utmost respect and privacy.
-
Honest, non-judgmental: A place to share experiences and emotions, and gain support from others who understand.
-
Supportive Environment: You’ll be met with empathy, not advice overload. We’re here to listen, not to judge.
-
Inclusivity: All carers are welcome, regardless of background, age, or the nature of your caring role.
-
Rest & Reflection: Time to pause, recharge, and reconnect with yourself and others who truly understand.
-
Space to share: Highs and lows, frustrations and triumphs, with people who genuinely get it.
-
There is no pressure to perform, no need to explain – just a circle of fellow carers who are all walking a similar path.
Monthly Themed Events: From Mindfulness to Community Art, each month brings a fresh theme with activities, guest speakers, and creative workshops.
