Counselling can help with a wide range of difficulties such as low self esteem, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, abuse and substance misuse. All our counsellors are trained in the person-centred approach, which is based on empathy, acceptance and honesty. Our counsellors use a variety of other approaches when it is appropriate, in order to help clients work through their problems.
We work mainly with adults but some of our counsellors are also able to work with children and adolescents.
Draws on aspects of CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness to help clients work more effectively on their difficulties, by recognising their strengths and trying out new strategies between sessions.
Some of our counsellors have specialist training in bereavement counselling from Cruse and are able to offer this service.
Women's Support Group
We hold a women's support group every Tuesday in school term times from 11:15 to 12:45
in Sidcup. This is an opportunity for women who have experienced domestic violence in
all its forms to share their experiences and gain support.
Charges are on a sliding scale between £10-£25 per session for those in employment
For those who are not in employment we ask for a £5 contribution per session where possible
Our groups are free of charge but clients are invited to make contributions where they wish.
